So many thanks

This card has been made to send to say thank you for all the lovely presents sent to my daughter on her 5th birthday and I thought I would share it with you as it features some retiring products.

The red stripped grosgrain ribbon is to be retired as is the so many thanks stamp used. The stamp can be found on page 112 item no 120173 £7.95 and is a single stamp. I have used this so much in various colours. Will post another picture of my favourite one in the next couple of days. The red stripped ribbon can be found on page 97 item no 119768 £10.25.

Cards with some of my favourite retiring products ...

I am sad to see some of these sets to go. Firstly "Cheers to you" which can be found on page 32 of the 2010 and 2011 catalogue item no 111037 and this set has been reduced to £11.21 so act quick as these sets will soon be gone never to be seen again.

The other retiring product used on the card above is the the Photo Corner Punch. The rhinestone has been coloured with a sharpie as Stampin up only sell the clear rhinestones but you can colour them with Sharpies which are now available in lots of colours.

This card also uses the Cheers to you stamp set for the cocktail and the limes in the background are from the Tart and Tangy set which is also to be retired and can be found on page 68 item no 111514 price £12.95.

The Tart and Tangy set has also been used for the following cards

These cards also use the certainly celery striped grosgrain ribbon which is also retiring found on page 97 item number 119771 price £10.25. This ribbon would make a lot of cards and go a long way. I love it and if you were still in doubt about these products some more cards.

These cards use the Tart and Tangy set also and more retiring ribbon. The red ribbon is code 119768 £10.95 the black ribbon will not be retiring. The code for the black ribbon is 115615.

To place an order email me kirstiestampinup@gmail.com do not delay as otherwise you could miss out.

Sorry

I am so sorry I have not updated my blog for a little while but I have been having a little bit of a tough time.  A friend of the family sadly died recently. She lost her battle to cancer at 29 leaving 3 beautiful girls aged 2, 4 and 6 and a loving husband. She will be very much missed by all especially her little girls. It has hit us very hard indeed but we need to carry on as normal as possible as that is what she desperately wanted. She was very strong in the faith and is at peace now and free from pain.

So with that in mind I will have a few updates to post tonight and more in the coming days to get me back on track.

Blossom petals punch and Build a Blossom

I have a class on Saturday night at my house for some crafty friends and I am going to be using the blossom petals punch and the build a blossom set to make a lovely flower card.

I will post a picture of the card we make on Sunday but in the meantime I wanted to show  how versitile all of Stampin Up's punches are and some of the wonderful punch art that you can make with a little imagination. I am a huge fan of punch art and have vertually every Stampin Up punch going as a result so you will see may more punch art projects.

The two punch art projects I am going to show you on this post are not my original idea. I found this video on u tube from Tarheel Stamper's which showed how to make these cards and I just had to have a go myself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tc-pf-LZBTs&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

I simplified them a little more as I have made these for my samples and I plan to make these in up coming classes so I like to keep these projects quick and easy and suitable for all levels of crafters.

You will see if you click on the video link above how to make these for yourselves so I am not going to go into too much detail on how to make these on this post but if you have any questions or if you would like to place an order then please email me kirstiestampinup@gmail.com or leave a comment below.

Thank you card

My craft space re-organisation is coming on well but I am not quite ready to share my pictures of it yet as there are still a couple of changes to make.

In the meantime I have a card to post.

This card is so quick and easy and would be great for anyone who has a lot of thank you cards to make for birthday gifts or new baby gifts etc.

This is my usual sized card (i.e. A4 cut in half to A5 and then folded in half). I then cut a basic black layer 2 cm smaller than the base and then a further white layer 1cm smaller than that. I adhered the two layers together using my snail and then put dimensionals on the back of the basic black layer and added it to my base.

I punched 5 hearts 1 in daffodil delight, 1 in old olive, 1 in pretty in pink, 1 in marina mist and one in whisper white with the small heart punch (page 106 item no 117193 £5.75). I picked these colours at random from my scraps.

On the white heart I used the versa mark, heat and stick powder and dazzling diamonds on the to give it a bit of sparkle. I added all the hearts to the base in a sort of wave pattern. I used mini glue dots to stick down all the hearts with the exception of the dazzling diamonds heart which I added with a piece of the edge of the dimensionals.

Using the mat pack I pierced some holes in between the hearts.

My sentiment is from the sweetheart stamp set (page 37 item no 120415 for the wood mount £22.95 and item no 120780 for the clear mount £17.95) and this was stamped in the basic black to finish the card.

I hope you like it. If you would like more information or to place an order for any of the materials used then please send me a message kirstiestampinup@gmail.com

Before I go I thought I would share with you another hobby of mine which is cake decorating. This is a picture of a "cupcake bouquet". This is a gift of cupcakes made to look like a potted plant. This is the one I have just completed for a neighbour who helped me this week.
